Get The Advice of an Authorized Social Security Representative Who Knows About Kids’ Cases & Understand All of Your Child's RightsKids Social Security CasesIf you filed for SSI for your child there was probably a good reason. A teacher, health care professional, social worker, or someone who knows your child might have suggested it; or maybe you just have a feeling something is wrong because, whatever their age, your child is not thriving as they should be. Often the thing that is disabling in children can only be seen through the statements of teachers, therapists, and relatives, (including parents) and not the doctors who might only see your child for a few minutes every so often. Expensive special tests can show the seriousness of medical problems in children, but not all the time. What is important to show to Social Security is what your child is able to do compared to other children their age, and how much your child is limited in the things they can do at home, school, or in public. This is what Social Security calls the, "whole child approach." So, if Social Security denies your child's claim, or tells you there is no use in filing because they won't qualify if you do, you need the advice of an authorized representative who knows about kids’ cases to let you know all of your child's rights. Haase & Haase has handled children’s cases for over 10 years. We know how to do it. |
